​A myofunctional disorder is a pattern of the orofacial muscles that interferes with normal growth, development, and function. Orofacial myofunctional therapy can provide rehabilitation for the following conditions:

• Tongue Thrust
• Incorrect Tongue Rest-Posture/Swallowing Pattern
• Thumb / Pacifier Sucking Habit
• Nail Biting and Other Oral Habits
• Lip Incompetence (Open Mouth posture)
• Tongue and lip tie
• Incorrect oral placement for articulation sounds ​
• Drooling

We treat children 5 years of age or older using a myofunctional approach and children under 5 years of age using a feeding therapy approach. We provide weekly therapy services, pre- and post-op care for tongue ties, and habit elimination programs (for thumb/finger sucking, pacifier use, etc).
